Finance careers — FAQs
What jobs can I get after an AAFM certification?
AAFM-certified professionals work as relationship managers, wealth and family-office advisors, portfolio and fund managers, financial and equity analysts, investment counsellors and estate planners across banks, AMCs, broking houses and wealth firms.
Which certification is best for a wealth-management career?
The flagship Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM®) is the most recognised route into wealth management and private banking. The AWM® is a shorter on-ramp, and CTEP™ or CFOM® let you specialise further in estate planning and family offices.
What salary can a fresher expect in wealth management?
Entry roles such as relationship manager typically start from about ₹3.6 LPA, while advisory and family-office roles range from ₹6–18 LPA. Pay rises quickly with experience and performance — senior private bankers in India can earn ₹3–4 crore a year. These are indicative industry figures, not a guarantee.
Does AAFM provide placement?
AAFM does not promise guaranteed placement. What it provides is globally recognised, job-ready skills, free career counselling and a Finance Careers Starter Guide, plus a credential that leading BFSI employers value — so you’re equipped to win the role on merit.
Is finance a good career for graduates in India?
Yes. India’s wealth and advisory industry is growing fast and there’s a shortage of trained advisors, so demand for certified finance professionals is strong — and the work is among the best-paid in the country for those who build the right skills.
Which AAFM course should I pick for an analyst career?
For analyst and research roles, the Accredited Financial Analyst (AFA®) builds financial-statement analysis, valuation and modelling skills, while the Chartered Portfolio Manager (CPM®) suits portfolio and fund-management careers. The Chartered Economist (Ch.E™) fits economic-research roles.
